Why Blog about Puzzle?

My intention here is to start blogging about my story, Puzzle, to reach an audience, find my tribe. . . . and get people interested in my journey of writing my first book . The story is about a discovering the truth. While uncovering layer after layer of Lee’s secrets, I discovered not only the truth about Lee’s past and the truth about my own family. This journey took years and led me to dwell far back in history, as well as travel deeply inside my heart. While reflecting the past of our housekeeper, Lee Metoyer, I was brought into my own truth and how Lee had not only survived, she thrived in a world with my family, inspiring us through each crisis and instilling the joy of loving a baseball team, Chicago Cubs, so much that love filled the cracks of our home with all that was missing.

Sandra Schnakenburg grew-up in Barrington, Illinois and has travelled the world in her youth.Her husband and her settled in Singapore, then Australia —eventually picking up all sorts ofAussie slang. Sandra considers her faith and family to be most important. After moving back to the states, she worked in corporate finance until she took up the love of writing. Her first book, a memoir, landed an agent shortly after the first draft was complete. She is looking forward to being a published author someday. In her early years, Sandra earned an MBA from the University of Southern California.
